As May unfolds, everything feels a little more expansive, a little more alive. The light stretches into evening, the pace softens without losing momentum, and there is a quiet confidence that settles in. Where April was about refinement, May feels like expression. A natural continuation, but with more warmth, more fluidity, more freedom in how we move, dress, and experience the world around us.
Across fashion, this is the moment the season truly breathes. The energy of Paris Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week evolves into something instinctive and personal. Resort and pre-summer collections begin to take shape, and there is a noticeable shift toward pieces that travel well, physically and aesthetically. The balance remains, but it feels more expressive now. Sculpted silhouettes are still present, that subtle corseted structure I always return to, but they are styled with an ease that feels almost undone. Oversized tailoring becomes lighter, more fluid, often thrown over swim or paired with barely-there layers. Texture is key, sheer fabrics, soft knits, and tactile finishes that catch the light as you move. It is less about perfection, more about feeling.
In beauty, May leans into radiance in a way that feels sun-touched rather than constructed. Skin is luminous, but with dimension, a soft bronze, a hint of gloss, a finish that looks like it belongs to you. There is a growing shift toward skin longevity, treatments and products that support the barrier rather than mask it. Hair follows the same direction, healthy, effortless, slightly undone, whether worn loose, pulled back, or shaped naturally by the climate you are in. Makeup becomes more playful, but still refined. A wash of colour on the eyes, a blurred lip, subtle shimmer on skin that catches golden hour just right. It is beauty that moves with you.
Travel in May feels cinematic in a different way. Not just the beginning of a season, but the moment it fully arrives. There is a clear pull toward slower, design-led escapes, places where aesthetic and atmosphere feel equally considered. Coastal destinations come into focus, but with a more curated lens, boutique hotels, quiet luxury, and spaces that feel both intimate and transportive. Through The Hotel Guru, I have been drawn to properties that balance architecture, location, and experience seamlessly. There is something about arriving somewhere just as it reaches its rhythm, where mornings feel unhurried and evenings stretch effortlessly into night.
At the same time, travel and fashion feel more intertwined than ever. Packing becomes part of the creative process, wardrobes built around versatility, transitional pieces that move from city to coast, day to evening. Through Voyages, I am continuing to explore this idea of travel not just as escape, but as influence, how the places we go shape how we dress, think, and create. There is a deeper storytelling emerging here, one that feels both personal and shared.
Wellbeing in May feels lighter, less about structure and more about integration. The routines that carried us through earlier months begin to soften into something more intuitive. I have been thinking more about what feels sustaining rather than simply productive, what supports energy, clarity, and overall balance without overcomplicating it. The idea of everyday rituals remains, but they feel more fluid now, less prescribed, more aligned with how each day unfolds.
It is a month of movement and expression. Of stepping outward while still feeling grounded. Of dressing with instinct, travelling with curiosity, and embracing beauty in its most natural, evolving form. There is a quiet confidence in May, one that does not need to announce itself, but is felt in the way you carry yourself, the choices you make, and the rhythm you create.
Sending you warmth, inspiration, and a sense of ease for the month ahead.
I am thinking of you x
Fashion Fondue 2026
Fashion Month has always been a conversation between past and future. This season, the dialogue felt especially intimate. Across New York City, London, Milan, and Paris, designers leaned into nostalgia not as costume, but as coded memory. The result was collections that reinterpreted heritage silhouettes, reworked archival sensuality, and refined minimalism for a generation fluent in both vintage and virality.
Below, a closer look at the houses defining this nostalgic new moment.
