August, The Month That Asks Us to Step Forward

There is something about August that feels powerful. The light is softer, the days slower, and summer has reached its fullest expression. Yet beneath it all is the quiet reminder that nothing stays the same forever.

As we emerge from Mercury retrograde, August feels like an exhale. A chance to keep the lessons, release what no longer serves us and trust that every detour has led us exactly where we need to be.

Then comes the moon. A New Moon and solar eclipse on 12 August, followed by a Full Moon and lunar eclipse on 28 August. Moments traditionally associated with new beginnings, endings and revelation.

Whether you follow astrology or simply love looking up at the night sky, this is an invitation to pause and ask yourself:

What are you ready to begin? What are you ready to release?

For me, August is about presence. Morning light. Saltwater. Bare feet. Long lunches. Open doors. Choosing what feels expansive and letting go of what doesn't.

We don't need the whole journey mapped out.

Sometimes, all we need to do is pay attention.

AUG. Allow. Unfold. Grow.

Fashion Fondue 2026

Fashion Month has always been a conversation between past and future. This season, the dialogue felt especially intimate. Across New York City, London, Milan, and Paris, designers leaned into nostalgia not as costume, but as coded memory. The result was collections that reinterpreted heritage silhouettes, reworked archival sensuality, and refined minimalism for a generation fluent in both vintage and virality.

Below, a closer look at the houses defining this nostalgic new moment.
